Seasoned MBA Tax Strategist with 30 Years of Experience

About Me

My name is Dyron Bush. I am a seasoned, globally recognized, MBA-trained tax strategist, accounting professional, and financial consultant based in Houston, Texas. With 30 years of experience, I have helped individuals, businesses, and corporations navigate the complexities of tax strategy, compliance, and financial planning with precision and discipline.

Today, my firm operates as a global organization, supported by trusted partners and operational teams in multiple countries, including India and other international jurisdictions. Global operations require more than technology—they demand coordination, discipline, and respect for time zones. For perspective, 4:00 PM Central Time in Houston corresponds to 3:30 AM in India, underscoring the commitment and professionalism of our overseas partners. Despite geographic distance and time differences, my global team remains fully aligned with our shared mission: accuracy, compliance, and client success.

One of my proudest professional achievements is that in nearly three decades of practice, not a single client whose return I have directly prepared or certified has ever been audited by the IRS—a testament to the meticulous approach, technical rigor, and compliance-first strategies I implement in every engagement.

My professional journey is also defined by resilience. I am a senior executive with a disability who has built, scaled, and led high-performing financial organizations in an environment where individuals with comparable profiles are statistically rare. Fewer than 2% of U.S. executives are both disabled and hold advanced graduate degrees, and fewer than 0.5% lead financial services firms at scale. This places my career firmly within what statisticians describe as a “Black Swan” outcome—an improbable result achieved through discipline, adaptability, and sustained execution rather than chance.

Commitment to Client Success

At the core of my practice is a client-first philosophy. Financial challenges and tax concerns do not follow a 9-to-5 schedule, which is why I provide comprehensive, responsive support tailored to each client’s needs.

My role extends well beyond filing tax returns. I focus on strategic tax planning, risk mitigation, and long-term optimization, ensuring compliance while identifying lawful opportunities to reduce tax exposure. Whether advising small business owners, guiding startups through growth phases, or assisting corporations with tax-efficient structuring, my objective remains constant: financial clarity and durable outcomes.

A Lifelong Passion for Business & Taxation

My journey into the world of accounting and tax services began at a young age. In junior high, I took my first business course, Free Enterprise, and was immediately drawn to the mechanics of entrepreneurship, finance, and markets. That initial exposure lit a spark that has guided my professional life ever since.

By high school, I had advanced into Accounting I and II, coursework that proved formative and exceptionally practical. These courses built a technical foundation that prepared me well for college-level accounting. I still vividly remember placing an apple on my professor’s desk after completing my first college accounting exam—not as a gesture of showmanship, but as a quiet acknowledgment of preparation and respect for the discipline.

During those years, the learning was hands-on in ways that would be unthinkable today. I began preparing actual tax returns—for my teachers. Yes, you read that right. Back then, it was a practical exercise designed to sharpen skills and build confidence. Can you imagine what would happen in today’s high school environment if students had access to teachers’ Social Security numbers and retirement information? Let’s say… that scenario wouldn’t pass a data security audit (PII). Still, in that era, it was a formative experience that instilled precision, responsibility, and an early respect for the seriousness of handling financial information.

Unfortunately, many of these foundational business and accounting curricula have since been phased out of school budgets, which I consider a genuine travesty. Early exposure to accounting, financial literacy, and business reasoning equips students with durable, real-world skills that compound over a lifetime. Eliminating these courses does not modernize education—it weakens it.

I have seen the downstream effects firsthand. Today, some high school graduates enter adulthood without knowing how to reconcile a checking account or manage basic personal finances. At earlier academic stages, I have personally witnessed seventh-grade students struggling with core arithmetic skills, including multiplication tables—deficiencies that compound quickly when students later encounter accounting, economics, or quantitative reasoning. These are not abstract concerns; they are practical gaps that directly affect financial literacy, workforce readiness, and long-term economic outcomes.

Nearly three decades later, that early spark has never dimmed. Over the past 30 years, I have remained deeply engaged with evolving tax laws, regulatory shifts, and financial trends. In this profession, adaptability is essential—what worked last year may be obsolete today.

Throughout my career, I have worked with thousands of clients to develop thoughtful, compliant, and forward-looking tax strategies. Whether reducing liabilities through lawful deductions, structuring businesses for tax efficiency, or navigating the complexities of IRS compliance, my work is guided by the same principles formed early on: preparation, discipline, and respect for the craft.

I currently serve as CEO of Theogony Financial, LLC, where I negotiated a two-year joint venture with Intuit TurboTax, bringing scalable, tech-driven tax services to clients nationwide. I also serve as CFO of Therapeutic Professionals, LLC. In 2025, I expanded my leadership footprint through joint ventures with Elite Resource Group, ABGI, EHP, and M&A Business Advisors, broadening our impact across capital markets, R&D tax credit strategy, cost-segregation services, and executive-level consulting.

Beyond operations, I serve on multiple corporate advisory boards, providing strategic counsel directly to CEOs on matters ranging from tax planning and regulatory strategy to mergers and acquisitions structuring and organizational growth.

MBA & Future Certifications

In addition to my decades of hands-on experience, I have further strengthened my expertise by earning an MBA from Grand Canyon University, where I graduated on December 10 with a 3.66 cumulative GPA while studying on scholarship. My graduate studies focused on advanced business strategy, financial management, and leadership, strengthening my ability to deliver high-level financial and tax consulting to clients.

Following the completion of my MBA, I am preparing to sit for both the Enrolled Agent (EA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examinations, further solidifying my credentials and positioning as a leading tax and financial professional.

Board Leadership & Strategic Financial Advisory

Beyond my work as a tax expert, I am a member of several prominent corporate boards, providing strategic financial insight and governance expertise. My role on these boards involves:

  • Financial oversight and risk management
  • Advising on corporate tax strategies and financial planning
  • Guiding regulatory compliance and fiscal responsibility
  • Ensuring tax-efficient structuring for long-term profitability
Serving on corporate boards has given me a broader perspective on financial strategy at the highest levels, allowing me to help businesses navigate complex financial landscapes, mergers, acquisitions, and tax-efficient growth strategies.
